For us, data protection is a customer-oriented quality criterion.

DB Systel GmbH takes your personal data very seriously and strictly observes data protection rules. Personal data will be collected on this website only to the extent required for technical purposes. Under no circumstances will the collected data be sold or passed on to third parties for other reasons.
Since the protection of your personal data is important to us, particularly in terms of the protection of personal privacy when processing and utilizing this information, we will give you an overview as to how we ensure this protection and what type of data is collected and for what purpose.

1. General information relating to data protection and data security
As part of our duty as an ICT service provider, there may be a need to collect, process or otherwise use personal and personally-identifiable data for various purposes for ourselves or on behalf of our customers.
Your personal data will not be given to third parties outside the DB Group. External service providers who process data on our behalf are contractually obliged to strictly observe the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act, and are therefore not regarded as "third parties" as far as data protection law is concerned.

2. Data processing on this website
Each time this website is visited, access data or visitor data is collected and stored in a logfile, the web server of DB Systel GmbH. The stored data record contains the following data:

  • the time of the server request,
  • the status of the request that your browser has sent to the server,
  • if appl. the website from which you have been referred to our website (so-called referrer URL),
  • as well as the type and version of the browser you have used.

DB Systel GmbH uses the standard logfile format of the web server used. However, after visiting this website your IP address will be stored in anonymised form for statistical purposes. When anonymised, the IP addresses are changed to such an extent that individual details concerning personal or material circumstances are no longer assignable.
Furthermore, DB Systel GmbH stores personal data as part of our customer service so that it is possible to process your requests for support and/or complaints in the Customer Service Centre. This data will not be passed on to third parties and will only be used to process your request.

3. How secure is your data when it is stored in our database system?
The operation of complex technological infrastructures is our key area of expertise and a fundamental element of our service. Our top priority is therefore to ensure that our data processing centres are always operated in compliance with the current safety standards. This includes state-of-the-art firewall technologies as well as extensive physical checks and access restrictions to our data processing centres. Modern authentication methods for user and administrator rights are carried out at application level alongside the daily backup and archiving of data.
We handle your data in accordance with the Federal Data Protection Act, i.e. your data is neither further processed nor passed on to third parties outside the DB Group.

4. How can you check the encryption of this website in your browser?

5. What is a cookie?
